In previous years, this was a memory box so we didn't miss any good nominations for the Cappies. With the Cappies hypertimed away, that doesn't mean we have to discontinue these threads. I've always liked going back at the end of the year and seeing the books and stories and moments that people really champion -- including plenty of stuff that I've forgotten about come Christmastime.

So have at it, Legionnaires! It's a bold new year! What in 2017 has knocked you out?

AZTEC ACE COMPLETE COLLECTION HC

The fifteen-issue run of Aztec Ace, created by Doug Moench, is finally collected here for the first time by IT'S ALIVE! and Dark Horse!

Aztec Ace stars Caza (AKA Ace) as he travels between the Aztec Empire and his home in the 23rd century. Ace, along with his pupil Bridget Chronopolis and his navigator named Head, struggles to save his own dimension from time paradoxes created by his enemy, the mysterious Nine-Crocodile.

Includes a new foreword by original series editor Cat Yronwode, a new introduction by Doug Moench, a bonus collaboration between Moench and Tim Sale, a star-studded pinup gallery, and more!

Oh, wow, that's awesome! I always wonder if these classic indies will ever see the light of day again. Especially ones like Aztec Ace, which I never had a chance to read the first time out.

Sounds great. I'll try to see if my LCS can grab a copy.

I feel obligated to maintain a strict "one-at-a-time" policy for the "Pick of the Week" thread, but I feel no such stricture here. All of these shipped today. Besides, if they'd've shipped on their solicit dates, they'd've been spread out over the last three months.

Last volume! This is late, but I'll bet they delayed it to coincide with Charles Schulz' 100th birthday.

All of these three beauties shipped today:

Oooh, gorgeous!!!
