Ok, how about this for an idea. We take it in turns to post a favourite (British spelling) comic cover every day. This went really well on the comic fan website that I used to frequent. What we tried to do was find a theme or subject and follow that, until we all got bored with that theme. I'd like to propose a theme of letters of the alphabet. So, for the remainder of October (only 5 days) and all of November, we post comic cover pictures associated with the letter "A". Then in December, we post covers pertaining to the letter "B". The association to the letter can be as tenuous as you want it to be. For example I could post a cover from "Adventure Comics" or "Amazing Spider Man". However Spider Man covers can also be posted when we're on the letter "S". Adventure Comic covers could also be posted when we're on the letter "L" if they depict the Legion of Super Heroes. So, no real hard, fast rules - in fact the cleverer the interpretation of the letter, the better, as far as I'm concerned.
And it's not written in stone that we have to post a cover every day. There may be some days when no cover gets posted. There's nothing wrong with this, it just demonstrates that we all have lives to lead.

We rewatched the movie a few years back and enjoyed it, though, objectively speaking, it suffers from some budgetary issues and being somewhat cheesy in a specifically 1970s way. For years, apparently, many broadcasts rendered it nonsensical because the truth about Sanctuary gets revealed in a scene with brief nudity, and therefore that scene was often subject to some poor cold editing.

If you know the scene, you will understand why I used the phrase.
1-5 adapted the movie with George Perez art. 7 ended on a "To Be Continued" moment which has yet to be finished in any Marvel title.
Issue #6 of this "Logan's Run" series also has - rather suprisingly - a second feature starring, of all, people, Drax the Destroyer in a rather inconsequential tale of what happens while he is searching for Thanos, in a story that doesn't even tie in to Avengers Annual #7 and Marvel Two-in-One #2. Drax's next appearance would be well over a year later in Captain Marvel #58.
Apparently Marvel had a contractual obligation to publish that issue at a certain time and they did not have enough pages ready.
The business of comics is a weird one indeed!
Did we really demand for BLACK GOLIATH? Probably not but we got him for five issues!

Another victim of the DC Implosion was this reprint series that only got one issue out. Also the first time I ever got to read a Goodwin/Simonson Manhunter tale. It would take another reprint series in the 1980s for me to get the full story. (Image courtesy of the Grand Comics Database.)
There was also going to be a reprint series called Demand Classics, with the first issue featuring the original "Flash of Two Worlds", but it never got published because of the Implosion.
Same for me! I loved this issue, and was looking forward to more! Manhunter really made an impression... as did the Neal Adams lead story!
