    • I have a Twitter account but I hardly ever look at it. When I worked for CBR, I mostly used it to promote my stories; now I mostly use it to remind people to join my church's online services. It's rare that I look at it just to see what's on it; that's what I have Facebook for.

      I have seen some people I know make the move to Bluesky. I saw a news article that 1 million people made the move right after Election Day. And there are at least three counters (here, here, and here) that purport to tabulate how many users the site has, based on stats Bluesky puts out.

      That said, I don't know if I'm ready to make the move; Facebook is pretty much enough for me. Even so, I've seen the argument that joining Bluesky doesn't have to mean killing one's Twitter account*, if only because one might want to keep connected to one's followers there. In my case, I only have dozens of dozens of followers, not millions of millions.
