    • Bob from Twin Peaks, or Bob Gray, ESQ?

    • I don't know who either of those two are.

    • The show Twin Peaks had a killer who was probably an evil entity, named "Bob." The titular IT of the Stephen King novel sometimes referred to itself as "Bob Gray, ESQ," a conundrum which the recent Welcome to Derry TV series insisted on giving a backstory, IMO, unnecessarily.

    • Ah. Never saw any Twin Peaks. I read the novel It years ago, but had not retained that name.

    • I thought TP began very well  but it went downhill quickly.

The early episodes were more  unsettling locally, where we had a murder, the day after the broadcast of the second episodes, that superficially resembled the instigating murder of the series. That crime remained unsolved for more than a decade.  DNA evidence later identified the killer. By then, the killer, facing charges on another crime, had killed himself.

    • One of my favorite episodes of Psych was an homage to Twin Peaks, including a number of actors from the series.

    • "Dual Spires"

    • Thanks for pointing out that Psych episode. I just wrapped up a Twin Peaks watch/rewatch a couple nights ago (I'd seen much of the original series when it originally aired, and two complete-out-of-context episodes of The Return), and that sounds like a fun episode to track down.

    • "Dual Spires" is episode 12 of season 5 of Psych.

  • Meanwhile, fifty-one years ago...
