This reminds me: The complete run of The Prisoner just showed up on The Criterion Channel to stream. I started the series during the pandemic, and got about halfway through before losing interest. I think I'll give it another go.

I've been attending Sunfest since its inception 32 years ago, and I have only missed a couple of years. Here's a video I put together from the four days:
The final image in that video was taken just before I left Sunday night, about 10-15 minutes before the chaos that you might now read about occurred. On the opposite end of the park, a group of teens had gathered, and someone set off fireworks in an extremely crowded, heavily-wooded park during a heatwave. This brought out the police and led to a confrontation, marring what had been an excellent and peaceful four-day event in its final hour. Two teens have been arrested and charged with a range of offenses, but which might be summarized as "dumbassery in the first degree."
My wife had already left, and I heard the sirens during my walk home. I wondered then what they were about, and found out the next morning.
On Saturday, I'd talked with a group of people (we were sharing the same picnic table for lunch*) and one guy was saying how he's never heard of any serious trouble at Sunfest. Scratch that, I guess.
*A local man and his daughter, a family visiting from Nigeria, and a hawk. Technically, the hawk ate on a branch above us:

Glad I missed it, too. Earlier Sunday evening, I was sitting at the northwest corner of the park for a bit, and noticed the large gathering of teens who weren't particularly doing anything other than congregating and talking. I didn't think much of it at the time. That corner tends to be a place where people gather. But I've never seen anything turn ugly at Sunfest before, and, as I've said, I've only missed it a few times in three decades.
