I saw t'other nite a thatrical reissue of the Beatles' YELLOW SUBMARINE animated feature , touted as having been " digitally restored " .
King Features Syndicate are the credited co-producers of the film .
I had seen the movie when I was 8 or 9...........In the theater in the county seat of my mother's East Texas home county , on a double bill with James Graner in SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL SHERIFF !
Now there's either cluelessness/nifty , if perhaps accidental , juxtaposition/an attempt to reach across the late 60s culture war chasm , depending on taste .
They were both G-rated , I guess , so I suppose that was the uniting link that allowed baby Bubbas/cowboys and baby freaks/stoners to unite in the same auditorium !

2X2L calling CQ, 2X2L calling CQ, is there anyone on the air?
"Checkmate King Two, this is White Rook---over . . . ."
...I realize that the accident that put a quotation mark as the header and " Tap here to begin writing " as the entire text of the initial post (which I will correct after writing this) looks odd , but did anyone look at the earlier posts ?
I was trying to post about seeing a theatrical reissue of the Beatels animated YELLOW SUBMARINE , I had decided that , since I was on a smartphone , where , I have found , you cannot go to the latest post in a line , you go to the first post and have to " flip " , page by page , to get to the latest post in a line , and therefore , a long line such as the DARK SHADOWS one or " What movie...today ? " will occupy much clicking time , I would use that as an excuse to make a dedicated post about the Fabs 'toon - which had a comic-book adaptation ( Dell ? ) and features brief cameos by chacacters from the major co-producing company referenced above , s9o there's its " direct " relevance here !!!!!!!!!
What were the two repliees above quoting ???
Regardless , I did put the basics of:
seeing YS
which was produced by KFS
up .
However , my finger slipped when I was trying to put the first post up , and thus , what you - Now - see above . Oh , and to save me from having to click to another screen , I decided that a period could serve for a hyphen when I was on the smartphone , Which I was . On the smartphone . That is . Smartphone .

I was quoting the Orson Welles version of "War of the Worlds". As for Yellow Submarine, I haven't seen that in many a year - I must try and find a copy of that somewhere, assuming of course that it's available on disk. Funny thing - when I was in elementary school (ca. 1969-1977), every year on the last day of school, as we all left the school building, we would all sing the song "Yellow Submarine". That doesn't really have much to do with anyhting, but there it is.
...I was wondering , Mark , whether it was that film that introduced - or , anyway , popularized - that term !!!!!!!!!!!
I've got a hole in me pocket!
