Captain Comics Land!

Some time ago, I asked the assembled what sort of Bar and Grill this board would be. The replies proved most entertaining. Here's a similar question:

If the Captain Comics board were an amusement park, what would it be like? What would it look like? What sort of attractions would it contain?

And would those old Palisades Park coupons from comics be accepted?

  • Of course those old Palisades Park coupons from comics would be accepted! With free admission to anyone who produces one!

(Or, rather, the comics they were in -- we wouldn't require anyone to *SHUDDER* cut their comics!)

  • Makes sense you would all go back to the older post. We apparently prefer to hang around bars rather than parks.

Still- a park with a Horror Comics-based dark ride? A flying ride where you stretch out with a cape or jet-boots? Where you could still tour the Ackermansion?

Yeah, okay. See you at the bar in a few minutes.

  • Show up with an Amazing Fantasy #15 and I'll give you the park!

  • ...Did anyone besides me ever go to Palisades Park ( "when I fell in love...") ? It closed after the 1972 season - I always was a bit mad at my parents that I didn't get to go that last year !!!!!!!!!:--

  • There was a large, Superman-themed amusement park double-page spread in one of those treasury editions in the ‘70s. I imagine “Captain Comics Land” would look something like that.(The Marvel side of the park would look like Asgard from Thor Annual #1.)
