Hi my father went to the University of Georgia with Jack Davis. Always knew he drew for mad but did not realize his impact on comic books. My 12-year-old is big into comic books and while at our local store I discuss this with the proprietor and he said I need to reach out to some forums and get some input on it. I don't know where to begin or what to do but please help thank you in advance.

Jack Davis got his start at EC, particularly doing horror comics such as Tales From the Crypt. Tell you what... I just sent you a friend request. I was just talking with my wife and she pointed out that the girl on the bottom right looks just like my mother and we have some other drawings downstairs that are very similar. It would make more sense my mom would save it than my dad while in college unless she's one of the ladies on the cover. She was a Ford model and also on NBC for a few years on The today show in the 50s.
Any help is appreciated we're getting deep here. Time to go through the boxes and find those other drawings to see if Jack made those. Oh I'm so going down the rabbit hole. 🤣
After Mad, Jack Davis did quite a few movie posters. His style is easy to spot.
Jack Davis also did several covers for Time and TV Guide magazines, as he was great at caricatures.
