  • I really, really appreciate that everyone involved is going into this thinking that they're not making a sequel to the movies Christopher Reeve made. And that's no knock on Christopher Reeve.
  • The costume does look "armor-esque" with the "S" shield being a seperate piece. An influence on the reboot?
  • Interesting look. I for one wouldn't mind a "Superman" that had a little more "George Reeves" than "Christopher Reeve" to him.
  • It looks like the same 'webby' material as the recent Andrew Garfield-Spider-Man pictures. But the stance of Cavill and the big red cape remind me of how Kirby drew him in Jimmy Olsen and Forever People.

Hmm... My imagination is running away with me.

  • I remember the pose you're thinking of Doc!

Also, it's hard to tell in the picture, but it looks like maybe they've ditched the red panties here, as in the reboot. And I suppose everyone's noticed that both blue and red aren't bright primaries, but more of a dark magenta and blue-black, which is probably significant as to the tone of the film. Also, no S-curl.

  • Funny ... he has the S-curl in these photos: "Man of Steel Set Pics; Look at Henry Cavill's Super Hair"
  • He looks the part.
