This one-shot is a collection/continuation/conclusion of the back-up feature which recently ran in Action Comics. Regular buyers of Action Comics may feel “cheated” into buying a partial reprint in order to complete the story, but don’t; you’re going to want the entire story between two covers. For those of you who haven’t been following the story in serial installments, here’s your chance to get the whole thing in one package.

Not only does this story serve as Smallville’s Chloe Sullivan’s introduction to the DCU proper, it also introduces a new arch nemesis for Jimmy in the form of fast-rising LexCorp junior executive Sebastian Mallory. The story is written by Nick Spencer and drawn by RB Silva. Jimmy is seldom handled well in my opinion, but these guys know what to do with him. It's Jimmy Olsen for the next generation. It’s hip, it’s smart, it’s funny. Buy it.

I've heard good things about it, too, and I've got it on order. I wondered if it continued the earlier story or how it was handled, so I'm glad to hear that not buying earlier episodes actually will pay of this time. I'm looking forward to it!
