...BTW , I had thought of posting about the fact that TWO DIFFERENT alternative/boutique/" downtown " theater outfits in NYC have announced " Spiderman " shows , whose scheduled opening dates are , respectively , 1 nd 2 days before the ( up until now ) announced opening of the ( now- ) de-Taymored show...But I hadn't quite gotten around to seeking out an all-purpose story about both of them ( One of the two shows played in Seattle already . ) !!!!!!!!!
It's my understanding that the entire plot revolves around a Spider-Man antagonist -- a new character Julie Taymor created specifically for this show. Does the retooling without her mean throwing that out, too?
JUST Sue Richards? I dunno... personally, I just don't see it happening...

I think they need Spidey to swoop in to save this show. Oh, well. Maybe if they went with a play about Sue Richards, it would have been cheaper to produce...
In Newsday, I read that originally Uncle Ben died after being struck by a car driven by Flash Thompson accidentally. Peter's guilt was that he didn't yell loud enough to warn him. No, really. There's a big difference between a tragic accident and murder but it's supposed to be a happy musical!
In fact, if anyone was going to be motivated by it, it would have been Flash!
Yeah. That's a really thin thing to hang Peter's guilt on. The original motivation -- Peter deliberately chose to let a crook get away, who later committed murder of someone near and dear to him -- is far, far stronger.

Spidey goes to the show via a Spidey Super-Stories...
That's discussed here...
