  • I think Chameleon Girl should rethink the photo she's forwarded for her election manifesto.

Unless she's standing as the Byrne-choke candidate.

I'm not familiar with any Legion after 1960, but I'm wondering is Quislet programmed to cave in to occupying intergalactic empires?
  • Interesting that Saturn Girl isn't a nominee, and I can't think of anyone better than Brainiac 5--despite the fact that he's shown zero leadership ability in any of the latest Legion revamps.

Not to mention that to me that it's very obvious who they want to be chosen.
  • Figs, Quislet is an energy being so he isn't programmed for anything.

Randy, it isn't obvious to me who they want chosen. I just see 20 pics.

I, personally, always wanted to see Gates as leader, but they weren't doing the fan elections when he was first around.
  • I voted for Tyroc, just because.
  • Dawnstar. Because I am in love with her.
  • I'm not sure who you think they want to be chosen, Randy -- although if you're implying Earth-Man (since he's front and center), I admit it's an interesting proposition. But it's just repurposed art from the most recent issue, and I doubt there's a whole lot more to it than that.

Figs, I think the "Quisling" derivation of Quislet's name has to do with his betrayal/abandonment of his own people (well, energy beings) when he came to our dimension. I can't remember the details, but they were revealed sometime in the Baxter series, issue number approximately around the 40s..

Gates would be a fun leader, as disruptive in his way as Earth-Man would be.

I'm voting for Tyroc, too. He (and Jacques) are both former presidents of Earth (in the abandoned 5-years-later continuity), and I know Levitz has avoided using him in the past, so it'd be fun to force him to use him. (That approach got great results for Dream Girl, years ago.)
  • I saw this and thought we were voting for something here on the board. I was ready to vote for the Baron. He gets my vote no matter what the election is!

But as a Baron, isn't he a monarchist?

The ship he used to get to this dimension he actually stole from his own people. He initially passed himself off to the Legion as an explorer/ambassador.

  • I had some choices here. I liked Tyroc if only to redeem himself as a badly thought-out character. Cosmic Boy, the once and future Legion leader. Mon-El since I liked his Superman run. Sun Boy, a major player who was never elected. But in the end, I chose...Wildfire because he was the first member I seen elected and he was a decisive leader!
