  • This can go so wrong so fast!

  • I guess the ABC-owned show seemed like the place to do it since ABC and Marvel are cousins now.

I'm curious enough to record it.

  • Possibly it's an Agent Carter comic. The net tells me the TV show airs on the same network.

  • I assumed it had something to do with Star Wars, given the odd use of "forceful" in the headline. Maybe Star Wars will be part of the new Marvel U. of the future? Or distant past?

  • I missed that, and it's a strong point, but I think making the announcement on The View implies it's viewed as having special interest for women, and the release refers to a "game-changing title". Marvel has several force names it could be recycling: Femme Force (but I doubt they'd be willing to use that), Psi-Force, X-Force, Fantastic Force, Ultraforce, Strikeforce: Morituri and Brute Force. (Full disclosure: I looked Marvel "force" names up at the GCD.)

  • My first thought was Fantastic Force, too -- but now that Cap's brought up Star Wars, I think he's on the money.

  • I never thought I'd set my Dvr to record the View but it just happened. I know it'll be on the Web once it's announced but I like to see stuff like this when it's announced. Plus the View seems like a weird place to make this sort of announcement.

  • Perhaps a crossover mini-series - say, Avengers Star Wars. That might sell through the roof

  • The announcement was for A-force an all female team of Avengers that will apparently replace the team during Secret Wars. It will be written by G. Willow Wilson. I Tried to post a link but I'm on phone and it doesn't seem possible. Anyways that makes sense to announce now to announce it on the view.
  • ...As far as Marvel and daytime/" women's " TV shows go , remember that peculiar crossover between the MU and the CBS soap opera THE GUIDING LIGHT ? I think it was before I was on here .
