...The little kids that get caught in the ants' L.A. sewer system camp appear to be Latino, but I didn't get a full enough look at them. At least two soldiers are killed or close to it fighting against the ants, one after saving two civilians - the kids? Would a modern-era movie have this?

A DRAGNET 1969 episode deals with a nerdy, persecuted in school, superhero fan who steals vintage comic books and movie memorabilia dressed as his own superhero character. I wonder if this was actually based on a real theft? Dragnet claimed to be based on reality.
