A quarter of Memphis lost power Saturday while we were watching The Odyssey a few miles from home. The Theater retained power but, alas, my neighborhood did not. We still don't have power, and too many cell phone towers are down for phones to use TLE. (I'm typing this on an iPad off a hot spot device we recharge at Starbucks.) Estimates for repair run as late as Thursday, and those are always wishful thinking anyway. So I won't be doing much writing and reviewing for a while.
So, how's your day?

I hope it's not as hot in Memphis as it's been in Dallas. (A week without a/c and we'd melt.)
Tracy wins every "Can You Top This (Weather Edition)" contest.
Me: "It's eighty degrees here and 95% humidity. It's so miserable!"
Tracy:: "It's hot enough to boil lead on the sidewalk, here. Not so humid, though."
"Wins" being a relative term.
I've read about your heat wave and thought about y'all. We've been, probably, five degrees cooler, on average ... which ia about average for Memphis in the summer.
The storm pushed us down to the 80s yesterday, but it's creeping back up. If we don't have power by the time it's back in the 90s, we'll board the dogs and check into a hotel.
