So DC is putting out all of these big poster prints now. I like some of them, but some aren't nearly to my taste. Here's one I do love, though. It reminds me of a Criterion DVD cover on a movie based on Jonah Hex. I hope that one day someone will actually make a movie based on this character, but unfortunately it hasn't happened yet.

  • Appropriate that Starfire has no face...

  • I thought that and the Duela Dent poster were both pretty bad.

  • I didn't recognise Duela Dent at all.  Is she recent?  I notice they are focusing on GL and the Owls.  And Aquaman, God help them.

  • I don't think there are enough Court of Owls posters.  There should be at least twenty more.

I like the Duela Dent, but I most assuredly don't recognize her here.  Has she been featured lately?

  • Do I need to go off again about how they need to re-haul Aquaman of the New DCU into the character personified in the Batman: Brave and the Bold cartoon? Have I not done that recently? Okay, I'll shut up. I'm assuming I'm the only one who feels that way. But I feel it nonetheless!

I want to say that Duela Dent is the Joker's daughter, but now it's striking me that her last name is Dent, which would imply that she is actually Two-Face's daughter. Why do I want to say the Joker's?

  • Some of those are cool. I like the Aquman one or at least the look of it but they couldn't think of something better than A is for Aquaman?
I think the Batman with the bats is my favorite. The crime alley one is a second favorite.
Finally, 3 posters referencing the court of owls is 3 too many. I loved that arc but why 3 posters for that and not more for Superman?
  • In her original appearance back in the 1970's, she called herself the Joker's Daughter and set herself up as an antagonist for Robin and Batgirl.  Later on she revealed she was the daughter of Two-Face and joined the Teen Titans.  Now I have no clue what her continuity is as it's been changed by Crisis, Zero Hour, Hypertime, Superboy's fists and whatever's behind the latest reboot.

  • Speaking of posters, just yesterday my wife asked me why Marvel doesn't hire Alex Ross to do portraits of their heroes similar to the ones he did for DC. I don't know, but that's something I wouldn't mind seeing myself.

  • If memory serves she showed up in one of the more recent incarnations of Teen Titans as the Joker's Daughter.

Now I just did a little research and this Ame-comi version of Duela Dent had a 3 issue digital comic series. Written by Palmiotti and Gray with art by Ted Naifeh.
