  • Leonard was the only author to make my eyes hurt - literally. One Sunday I sat down with his book Killshot and I could not put it down until I had finished the entire thing. Other than a break to eat, I read the book in one sitting - by that evening when I finished the last page my eyes hurt from the near non-stop reading session.

  • The guy had a really diverse output, and I like a lot the movies based off of his work. Always sorry to see a creator like that go.

  • He and James Ellroy contributed to changing my reading habits. I was already getting tired of the endless fantasy and sci-fi series, and their quick paced style really opened me up to the crime genre.

Really sad to see him go.

  • Elmore Leonard was one of my faves, too -- both in the books he wrote and their movie and TV adaptations. (If you haven't seen Justified, you're in for a treat.) I'm glad he got to write another Raylan Givens novel in the last few years, to put a last authorial stamp on the character.

I'm not sure what the next book I read will be, but it'll be by Elmore, no doubt.

  • Amazon Prime has Justified streaming for free, so I've been burning my way though that. I am almost done with season 2. Sometimes I watch 4 episodes in a row. So, yeah I think it is pretty good.

  • My wife and I started watching Justified starting at the beginning after it had completed three seasons. Thanks to Netflix, we caught up and have watched all four seasons. We eagerly await the fifth.
