Looking at the list of Rankin/Bass projects (here on IMDb: "With Rankin/Bass Productions (Sorted by Popularity Ascending)"), I discovered they produced the Jackson 5ive animated Saturday morning cartoon, which is fondly remembered (at least by me).
My favorite:
Saw this one at The Strand, an old theater which dated back to Vaudeville days. It had a balcony. In the summer (before my time) it used to convert to a swimming pool. My sister took me to see it, the first time she and I ever saw a movie together. (The second was Alien in 1979.) When I found Mad Monster Party on DVD a couple of years ago I asked her if she remembered taking me to see it, but she didn't. The Strand has been a parking garage since 1970 or so. :(
I've got that lying around the house but haven't gotten around to watching it. Maybe I will this weekend.
