The first issue was a little disappointing. The Legion of Superheroes travel to an alternate 23rd century which is neither their own universe nor that of Star Trek, and the crew of the Enterprise travel to an alternate 23rd century which is neither their own universe nor that of the LSH. And here’s the kicker: each of the alternate universes is different and the two teams don’t even meet!

  • ISSUE #2: First of all, I was wrong last month when I stated the Enterprise crew and the LSH were shunted to different alternate universes than each other; they are simply on different sides of the continent. Both teams “meet in the middle” at the end. So far, this series hasn’t been much more enjoyable than the Star Trek/X-men crossover of a few years ago, but I’ll stick with it a while longer yet, at least to see how the two teams interact if for no other reason.

  • Did they drive a gold Legion Flight and a silver Star Trek communicator into the ground when they met?

  • Yeah, I liked the first issue a lot, but this one seemed like stalling to me. Hopefully now that they're together, the series will get some spark back.
