  • Oh, he knew you would be watching. Does that show have two Lois Lanes now?
  • We watch it, but are months behind. (It started out as a better show than it is now, but it looks like we're in for the haul.) It'll be good to see Barrowman!
  • It is good to see Barrowman. It is also good to see him playing someone who is 100% NOT Jack Harkness. Saying any more would be a spoiler.
  • I was into Desperate Housewives at the beginning, but gave up around the third or fourth season.
  • A couple things keep us going. For one, there's usually at least one great dialogue exchange during each show -- more than I can say for any episode of, say, V. And I'm always impressed by the way the show shifts audience sympathies from one character to another, and then manages to pull back from making them totally unlikable. There have been times I've wanted to strangle every single person on the show for some boneheaded/selfish/shortsighted move, but then a few episodes later, I'm back to rooting for them a little. Sort of like how the plot in any given episode of 24 has no real bearing on what's happening 3 hours later.

Sounds a lot like pro wrestling.
  • This season has been the best since the first. It may even be better than the first.

I haven't been bowled over by it, but that could be because we're watching it at a really slow pace (about 1 ep every two weeks). I did like the most recent episode, focusing on the new (to me) character Robin, an ex-stripper who, for now at least, seems to be nicer than anyone else on the block.

And yeah, Trav, pro-wrestling is a good analogy.
  • Well, if it's better than it was, is that recommendation to try again? I did like it, but Gabrielle's selfishness, Susan's neediness, and, most of all, Lynnette's manipultativeness just got to be too much to take. For what it's worth, I actually found Bree the most likeable.
