I didn't see that Jeff had done this for this month, yet. Kind of shocked really. This is for comics and other stuff that will theoretically be sold in November.
1. Sorry Dark Horse that last Ghost miniseries didn't interest me enough to now buy into an ongoing.
2. "For fans of chainsaws!" did make me giggle.
3. An embossed cover DC? I have like a million of them from the 90s.
4. Another good month to skip most DC books for me as they are mostly crossover driven.
5. Neat! A Creature Commandos trade is coming out. That would be far down my list of of items I would have expected to see too.
6. I won't buy it, but I do like the idea behind the Scooby-doo Team-up series.
7. I can't imagine what that IDW Amazing Spider-Man John Romita Artist Edition will go for. They are usually really high and this one is 216 pages.
8. I see that ex-Bedlam artist Riley Rossmo has found a new gig.
9. The is a new Icon mini from the Marvel imprint! It is Painkiller Jane! Meh.
10. Nova Classic? Isn't that an oxymoron? Forgive me all of you Nova fan.
11. Mike Allred's Captain America poster looks like Cap is punching his shield.
12. I am glad to see that Scam #4 is finally coming out.
13. It lasted longer than I thought it would be The Spider series is finally coming to an end. I enjoyed it though.
14. Shigeru Mizuki's A History of Japan is a must-buy for me.
15. Sometimes I just like the titles of books: The Death Star Owner's Technical Manual

"Should your Death Star fail to proceed..."
Study your manual carefully, because "Customer Service" will find your lack of faith disturbing.
10. Nova Classic? Isn't that an oxymoron? Forgive me all of you Nova fan.
That made me laugh. Is it more or less oxymoronic than Essential Nova? (Which I own, by the way. If you simply must have your Nova in color, buy that plus a box of crayons. It's cheaper and you get more story.)

DC's missing the boat in not getting this on the shelves before Halloween.
Nah, Travis, I didn’t start one this month; just didn’t feel like it. Besides, I still kinda feel guilty about usurping what had traditionally been “your thing.”
I agree with both comments you made about Creature Commandos: both that it’s neat as well as it’s not something I would have expected. It’s not out yet, though, however. Low orders could well kill it. If you are someone who wants it, you might want to preorder it through your LCS. It’s only $20, which is about a cheap as tpbs come these days. For example, there’s a pretty decent tpb collection of ‘80s Avengers comics solicited, but it’s $40. For 40 bucks, I expect HC.
I’m guessing that Romita “Artist Edition” will retail for $200.00.
There’s not a whole helluva lot else I have to say. (Perhaps another reason I didn’t start this discussion.)
Oooh, good question. That is our poll question of the day. What is more oxymoronic Nova Classic or Essential Nova? Give us a call at 1-800-555-1100. Results at the end of the show.
I totally agree, yet I see this every year. In addition to this comic there was another collection from an independent in the same name (can't remember specifics as I don't have Previews with me here). Plus, Marvel is selling 3 different masks in this catalog. Doesn't make sense to me.
Jeff Said:
Eh, no biggie.
The only thing keeping me from buying this is that I have most if not all of these issues already. Heck I read most of them earlier this year.

Oh My Stars and Garters!
