I keep getting a pop-up add for something called Net-ad  for a "Destroyed NC-1701 Enterprise" model.

Imagine that.  Buying a kit to build a model of the enterprise as a ruined hulk...

Hell, as kids, if we got our hands on a model of the Enterprise, it would have wound up looking like that within two days!

Now, I'm supposed to pay $20 for a model that when completed, looks DESTROYED???

A local car dealership has started using this "song" again in radio ads.

If you watched it, that commercial probably ran for about 10 years on Dallas TV.

Without even checking the link, I know it's the Peugeot ad.

Awesome!

But now I want a real movie of it!

Have you seen this one?

No.  I should be embarrassed that I think that's funny, shouldn't I?

Also, that's the 2nd time in the last 24 hours I've seen a former cast member of My Boys.

My jaw dropped when I actually saw that one on TV last night. I can't watch it without laughing out loud, though.

This is National Police Week, whose main event is the National Peace Officers Memorial Service, which honors police officers who die on The Job. This means that all week long, there have been police officers from all over the country in Washington, in their full dress uniforms, going to events.

Last night, I was waiting for a subway train, and when it arrived at the station, about 30 officers from a New Hampshire police department marching band got off the train ... all in kilts, with all the works -- white shirts, sashes, tams, hose, brogue shoes, sporrans, etc. -- and bearing bagpipes and big bass drums.
