Since we can't do polls, as such, I figured that instead of creating umpty-zillion threads for individual battles, I'd create one thread for all such - silly, serious, or otherwise. To start:
If the Thing (James Arness from The Thing From Another World) fought Frankenstein's Monster (Boris Karloff from Frankenstein), who do you think would win?
I'd say they're probably evenly-matched, strengthwise. Brain-wise, it's harder to tell. I know the Thing was supposed to be super-intelligent, but it did crash its starship and walk right into an obvious trap at the end of the picture. I think the Monster probably wouldn't be able to kill the Thing, but it could probably rip its limbs off and render it helpless.

If I remember from the original novel, Frankenstein's monster had a fair amount of memory and intelligence. It was not the mindless beast as portrayed by Boris Karloff.

And then, he would rip all of their arms off! But he would autograph the arms for anyone who asked.

But, of course!
Now, who would win betwixt Vash the Stampede and Spike (from Cowboy Bebop)?
