First Miles Morales gets a series with alternate versions of himself, then Gwen Stacy got one, and now, Jessica Jones is getting one. I don't follow comics publicity that much outside of what I read here, but I'm assuming that all this is in aid of pushing the upcoming Doctor Strange picture, and I gotta say, it all feels like a bit much to me.

Marvel always had a multiverse since the Fantastic Four started going through dimensions. There are numerous examples like Counter-Earth, Earth-A, Earth-S (Squadron Supreme), the myriad of What If scenarios, Exiles, the M2U (A-Next, Spider-Girl), Earth-X and, of course, the Ultimate universe.
True, but it seems to me that they're really emphasizing it right now. I don't recall a time when they had three separate series with characters meeting alternate versions of themselves going at the same time.

I think it has a lot to do with the success of the Spider-verse movie. Because of that, Miles and Spider-Gwen gained a great deal in popularity, so Marvel's attempting to cash in on all of those casual comics readers who want more afterwards.
Jessica is popular too because of the Netflix show.
Huh. I thought "Spider-verse" and "Gwen-verse" had something to do with poetry.
Funny, I'm almost ignoring the MCU, but I've seen Spider-Man: Into the Spider-verse. I would definitely recommend it.
