Ok, how about this for an idea. We take it in turns to post a favourite (British spelling) comic cover every day. This went really well on the comic fan website that I used to frequent. What we tried to do was find a theme or subject and follow that, until we all got bored with that theme. I'd like to propose a theme of letters of the alphabet. So, for the remainder of October (only 5 days) and all of November, we post comic cover pictures associated with the letter "A". Then in December, we post covers pertaining to the letter "B". The association to the letter can be as tenuous as you want it to be. For example I could post a cover from "Adventure Comics" or "Amazing Spider Man". However Spider Man covers can also be posted when we're on the letter "S". Adventure Comic covers could also be posted when we're on the letter "L" if they depict the Legion of Super Heroes. So, no real hard, fast rules - in fact the cleverer the interpretation of the letter, the better, as far as I'm concerned.
And it's not written in stone that we have to post a cover every day. There may be some days when no cover gets posted. There's nothing wrong with this, it just demonstrates that we all have lives to lead.
If everyone's in agreement I'd like to kick this off with one of my favourite Action Comic covers, from January 1967. Curt Swan really excelled himself here.

I already have a fair number of covers that fit the theme. There's some overthinking going on.
April 2022 - Unexpected Green.
Well, I am curious (green) to see how this month goes. Here's my first contribution, with the Flash encountering the Greening of America:
I have enough "unexpected green" covers to get me through the weekend, then I'll probably bow out until May. Here are a few "unexpected" Green Lanterns.
1. What is more unexpected than a Green Lantern on Apokolips?
2. The Swamp Thing goes to space and encounters a Green Lantern (but probably not the one you expected).
3. This Green Lantern was unecpected because previously she was geriatric.
In addition, Rond Vidar was an "unexpected" Green Lantern (for more reasons than one). I couldn't find a cover image I liked, but he debuted in a really cool costume. [There are cover images available of his later, less cool, costume. (I hesitate to call it a "uniform" because it is unique.)]
The comic that introduced the Scarlet (?) Witch.
You wouldn't normally expect to find Swamp Thing romancing a Norwegian goth girl on the cover of a Norwegian humour comic. Yet here he is with Nemi Montoya!
Here's my latest update to the spreadsheet and index of monthly themes, together with a reminder of the theme for next month.
Time to decide on a theme for June?
I like closure. What's the endgame here? Three years ago I was the only one who voted to call it quits when we got to the letter Z. Lately the topics have become increasingly lame and/or cutesy, and people have been whining that their covers are being "stolen" because there are relatively few good one to choose from. I vote we have a month of Last Issues, then close this thread and get back to a board where we discuss comic books, not simply post pictures of them
