Anyone else ever read this or have any opinions? I'd always heard it was supposed to be terrible, but I found myself really enjoying the series when I had a chance to read it recently. I wouldn't call it the best thing ever written, but I thought it was kind of cute and sweet.

I remember the ads, but I've never read the title. Barbara Slate has a website here which has information about what she's done.
This post displaced the thread "How Many Books Will I Read in the Next 365 Days?" from the front page.
I read Angel Love way back when, but barely remember it; it's been too long since I've last seen it. I don't know if it holds up.
I think I enjoyed it at the time because it was so un-DC-like; it was really an indie title that somehow got a mainstream publisher to carry it. (I think of Howard the Duck the same way.)
It was a nice change of pace title amongst all the superheroes DC was doing at the time, and I hated to see it go.
Finding just ONE specific publisher today that would offer its readers all the variety that those of the Golden and Silver Age did is a real challenge, and it was nice to see an "alternative" title like Angel Love from such a well established mainstream publisher like DC.
