If you are reading this, you are already on the Ning 3.0 version of website, which has been assigned the old URL, captaincomics.ning.com.
It is as up to date as Ning will make it. I urge all Legionnaires to check to see if all they want from the old site, including post-Monday posts, made the journey here. The old material is available at captaincomics2.ning.com. You may have to log back in (I did). And be forewarned, it will look weird -- all the art is gone, and the navigation is off to the side. But all functions appear to still be working.
We have until Aug. 12 before I pull the plug on the old site. And then, after many months, I will finally be paying for only one site instead of two.

I concur. That was a classy gesture by the Cagney & Lacey team, and a fine example for us to follow regarding Randy Jackson and Rich Lane.
I second the Commander's recommendation.
His fingerprints are all over the site, so he's always here in a fashion.
No argument, but what I meant was "members online" showed that he was online at the time. (He's gone now.)
I hope someone hasn't hacked his account...

Maybe this has been asked before, or someone knows...
If you look at all discussions you can sort by Latest, Newest, and Most Popular. I don't see that available in any of the subsections. Can this be done for them? Or are stuck at whatever way Ning wants to display them?
Re: Lack or order in sub-categories.
We've all noticed that in many categories -- like "Captain Comics" or "General Non-Comics Discussion" -- that there doesn't seem to be any order to the posts. I have not been able to find a tool that allows me to deal with this. But what I have found is that when I create a new discussion it helps if I manually assign it to a category. When I do, the post automatically goes to the top of the category I've assigned.
Assigning to category used to be a tool at the top of the post, which is no longer there. The tool is now at the bottom of a post when you have it open in EDIT. It's an edit window with a list of categories, and you highlight the one you want. It is always there, even after you've posted and saved, so you can re-assign old posts if you like by just opening them in EDIT and clicking the category in the window.
