  • As they say, every time you think you've seen everything........

  • Better Superman than the Hulk, I guess.

The notion of giving the plastic surgeon pictures of Chris Reeve and Dean Cain and saying "make me look like this" leaves a lot of leeway.

  • Have you seen that couple who went under the knife to look like Barbie and Ken dolls? Brrr!
  • How far would I go? Probably not so far as actually exercising.

  • I would not go as far as William Burnside (or the guy in that video), but take a look at my profile picture to the left. That's about how far I would go.

  • There are a lot of good cosplay costumes showing up at conventions these days. The best part is that they can add in the required muscles so that dreary exercising thing can be avoided. Some of them are pretty amazing.

Of course, if you dress up right, you might get to pose with others.

  • Adding in the muscles is one thing -- but I require some subtraction, too.

    And: WOW.

  • I wish I had taken some pictures at the con in Dallas last fall. There was a really buff dude walking around as the Silver Surfer, just body paint he had the build to pull it off. There was also, amazingly, 2 Dazzlers. Plus a bunch of other good ones.

At the one in Feb. I really enjoyed the Deadmau5 Stormtrooper, which was just bizarre.

  • I have seen the guy at the Mid-Ohio-Con lecture on the various killer costumes he's put together over the years. The year I saw him speak, along with his gf/wife, he was dressed as Aquaman, and it was perfect!

That was the year that my kids chose to go as Mystique and Superboy, and they were the hit of the convention floor, asked for several photo ops, which they ate up at ages 12 and 9!

(Another year, they went as Supergirl and Robin, though I think they were a bit younger, as I recall. Roger Stern's wife, Carmilla (sp?) was kind enough to watch Supergirl for me while I ran to the restroom once. When I came back, she had been nice enough to have popped for an action figure for my daughter, who was playing in the back of a large pannel discussion room while Roger was up on the stage.  Wotta great woman!)

  • You made me break out into a large grin at work.  Now they're all asking me what's so funny.... LOL!
