I never liked Ollie, so I would want to see something else! Ha ha!
Seriously though, I think a variation of the GL/GA stories would be interesting. Find someone for GA to pair off with and have them roam the land saving people and debating the underlying causes of the problems they face. A nice approach would be for both to make good points, but neither to actually "win" these debates. Instead of, you know, GA being right all the time, which is how I remember the comics.
"Capitalist stooge! Wake up and smell the coffee! I should break this bow over your head!"
I've followed Ollie since he came back from the dead that time, and so long as he isn't that guy, I'd be happy.
Surprisingly enough, I thought the Smallville GA worked really well. Within the context of that show, he was fine. Showed that a guy with a bow kinda works on TV. Outside the context of that show, I agree with Mr S. He'd work well in more down-to-Earth stories questioning what makes our world tick.
He should still be battling corruption and crime and for social causes. He should attack the roots of the problems, not just their branches. As Oliver Queen, he should quietly observe the haves lording over the have-nots then take action as Green Arrow. There can be some costumed enemies but no powers. And a budding romance with a certain Pretty Bird!

A superhero version of the Wire maybe...
:-)
Connor Hawke!
Don't know what they'd do in the second episode, however ...
I like the way you think, CK.
I like that idea though. it could be a one-off like the never-run Dick Tracy pilot from the late 1960's.
