Thanks, guys. I have a job now but I've been here for a little over two years and through 3 legislative sessions with this current job. I'm ready for a bit of a change. I'd like to stay with the legislature in some form or fashion but positions aren't available all that often. This position is with the Legislature but is very different than where I am now, and it's not an administrative assistant position. Unlike most analyst positions with the legislature this one didn't require the applicant to be an attorney or have a Master's degree, just legislative experience. Which I have plenty of.
The interview went well. I have a good feeling about it. They are interviewing most of the week though and I'm sure there are more qualified applicants. I got the feeling though they are looking for someone young with the ability to adapt. They cover a broad range of topics and might possibly want to avoid someone that has many years of experience with one particular specialty.
