I thought about putting up a spoiler warning, but surely it cannot be a surprise to anyone that she's coming back from the dead as a mutant. I liked her original costume better, but the new one isn't godawful, I suppose.

Counterpoint, that is pretty terrible.
But in the end, I've probably read 4-5 comics she has been, so I really don't care...but that costume blows.
Looks like Kitty Pryde in her early days.
I don't get the hair; is she going to be wearing a wig now? And what's with the clunky boots?
"...she's coming back from the dead as a mutant."
I'm unfamiliar with this version of Ms. Marvel. Do you mean she is coming back from the dead because she is a mutant or she wasn't a mutant before but she will be going forward. I suspect the latter because of the tag "The New Mutant." I didn't know such a thing was possible, even in the MU.

I think the "crew cut" is simply a model sheet guide for artists how the mask looks beneath her hairline.
As to the "clunky boots," isn't that a fashion trend now?

Kamala Khan was launched as an Inhuman. Now she'll be reborn as a mutant, like on TV, with powers more similar to her TV version. She'll also be written by actor Iman Vellani, who played the character on TV.
My understanding from what I have read so far is that she's going to be both a mutant and an Inhuman. "She gets that mutant gene from your family, dear! Only Inhumans on my side!"
More Looks....
Does every mutant have to join the X-Men? If I could write and was a Marvel writer, I'd want to male a mutant character that wanted no part of the X-Men, just for variety's sake.
"Kamala Khan is Reborn Anew" - Isn't that redendant?
"Hope You Survive the Experience!" - How original.
"Kamala Khan is Reborn Anew" - Isn't that redundant?
i thought about that, too, but to play Devil's Advocate, you could say - for the sake of argument - that she was initially "reborn" when she first got her powers, and now is being "reborn anew" as a mutant.
