Hi all!
It just occured to me that there might be some utility in having a thread where we post what cons we're going to (and other assorted nerdery) to see if anyone wants to meet up for a while, and see each other in person! (gasp!)
So here's that thread! Apologies if this already exists somewhere; I didn't see it.

Hey there,.friends! Rob and I did meet up at the Baltimore Comic-Con on Saturday:
And I also bumped into cosplayer extraordinaire Bill Johnson, a childhood friend, in the guise of Gemini the Partyman! (from Prince's soundtrack for Batman '89).
Now that we have a dedicated thread, here's a link to the June 22 meeting of Jeff and me.
Jeff Plackemeier and Richard Willis got to meet up in California for a visit.
That's Jeff under the hat.
Thanks for posting that picture, Kelvin! It was great hanging out and talking comics with you on Saturday!
It was great to meet Bill, too -- he really brings it!
Met up with Mart Gray and his husband Steven in Edinburgh on our trip to Scotland this week. Mart hasn't posted here for a while, but he's always active reviewing comics at his site, Too Dangerous for a Girl. He and Steven were kind enough to show us around the city -- including a trip to Forbidden Planet! Here are a couple pictures of us hanging out around town, including in front of the statue of Greyfriars Bobby!
Which one's Martin?
Martin's the bald on the left, taking the selfies; I'm the bald guy in the center. Steven's in the scarf.
Gayle and I married in 1989. In 1985, before we were together, Gayle had visited England on a (live) theater tour. In 1991 we traveled to Britain to introduce her to my cousins. At the time we could only get away from work during the Summer, when most of them were also taking trips.
We bounced around on trains. Starting in a small town on the English Channel, to the Lake District in the north. Our next stop was to be Bristol in the southwest*. They weren’t back from a trip yet, so before going south we diverted to Edinburgh, Scotland. In the train station I asked where Edinburgh Castle was. We were under it!
*Bristol is near there, so we visited Cardiff, Wales. Cardiff Castle is/was next door to a Wimpy Burger (named for Popeye’s friend) fast food place.
Nice! One of the places we visited (and by visited, I mean traveled through) was Waverly Station, scene of the train station fight in Avengers: Infinity War.
