  • A dragon punch to the what?
  • Yeah, I know. I didn't write the advetising copy.
  • Weird ad copy, all right. But I read your subject line as "The Alexandria Codex," so imagine my surprise.
  • Well, I figured, our Clowny's a boxer, maybe she knows a "dragon punch"...

Well, as long as you don't use your "kame-hame-ha" on us...
  • I considered designing/making something like this a few years ago for my comics, until I ran the numbers and realized how obscenely expensive it would be for the purpose. I was hoping they'd have some pricing information on there to see if my estimates were correct (not that I remember what my estimates were...).
  • Or the Wu-Han Thumb of Death.
  • MORE INFORMATION:

The Alexandria Codex is ready for production! We think it was worth the wait. After months of prototyping we have finally found a refinish-able solution to the plywood problem. (plywood isn't refinish-able, hardwood is) Lighter than solid hard wood shelves, yet sturdy, this open shelving system is perfect for storing books, manuals, comics, collectibles, terrain, cards, miniatures and much more. You can fill it up with inserts or leave some open, it looks great both ways.

You choose your size, and add on any inserts you may want. The minimum size of a codex is 2 bays high and 3 bays wide. The maximum size is 5 high (6 high won't fit under a door) and 7 wide (wider gets hard to maneuver!). The inserts are single drawers - perfect for comic books, large terrain, manuals and game boxes. Double drawers - for mid sized figures and terrain storage, it has the ability to be divided into 3 sections. And triple drawer units that can be divided
into 10 sections per drawer. All inserts are available with refinish- able hardwood fronts and backs or 100% plywood (not refinish-able).

The Codex is built out of Cherry or Walnut and can have contrasting maple inlays in the front or can be solid. Stainable as well, shown here is a walnut version with maple inlays on the vertical face.

The Codex has a standard deposit of $650. Early adopters will receive 10% off all inserts if deposits are placed by September 6th. You can also get 10% off the shelving unit if you order 2 or more of the same size at the same time. As with the rest of our made to order furniture, there is an average of 6-8 week wait period to get to the
front of the line and then it takes 6-8 weeks from the start of manufacture to delivered and in your home.

Let us know where you live and what size you are ordering as shipping can be as little as 100 or as much as 1000 depending on the size of your unit and how far away you live. I have attached the price guide and the ordering form. The ordering form will tell you the dimensions of your desired unit based on how many bays high or wide.

It should be up on our website within a couple of weeks, and let me know if you have any questions or if I can assist you with an order.

The sales rep also sent eight photos (which I'd post if I knew how) and more contact information.
  • So, order yours today and 10% of each sale will go to the Society for the Prevention of Dragon Punching!
  • Mmmm.... Misty Mountain Oysters.
