• I've said it before and I'll say it again; this is one of the most under-appreciated books on the stands right now.
• Agreed. I just wish it would find a regular artist.

I'd love to see Bob Layton do the art for a story just for old times' sake.
• I think the thing I like most about this book is that it has all of the wit and classic mythological feel of a Neil Gaiman story without the over-serious, self-important ostentatiousness.
• I noticed that one of my local libraries has at least two trades of Incredible Hercules (World War Hulk and Against the World). I think I might just have to pick them up.
• I would greatly encourage you to do so, Chris. I think those are the first two volumes, too, so you should be good! :)

Herc Thumbs up
• Well played, sir.

Well. Played. :D
• I’ve been trying (unsuccessfully so far) to get interested in this series. Bob Layton’s two Hercules mini-series and graphic novel are soon to be released in Marvel Premiere Hardcover format, and those’ll get me interested in reading more recent material if anything will. (I could read these comics at anytime without buying the collections, but the fact is I don’t.) I’ve already read issues #106-111 of Incredible Hulk/Hercules (plus whichever one it was tied into Gaiman’s Eternals revamp). My question is, which of the following collections would you recommend?

“Against the World” (#112-115)
“Secret Invasion” (#116-120)
“Love and War” (#121-125)
• Well, Love and War has the scene from which the awesome Clayton Henry Herc picture Rich posted above comes, so that one will always make me smile. I think Secret Invasion might be the better starting place, though. (Against the World isn't bad, and certainly sets the tone, but I think 116 is where things started getting particularly lively.)
