I read the brand new Mighty Thor #1 (Am I really going to file this with the "M"s and not the "T"s?) and it seems the Silver Surfer is back with Galactus. I go "Wha..?" as is my wont when things like that happen. Then we see Loki is a child again. Th
I read the FCBD issue 0 of Secret Wars but have not read issue 1 yet. The review on IGN gave #1 an 8.5, not too shabby. I'm looking forward to this event and a lot of the tie-in minis. Though my wallet is not.
I don't care how late this title is; it's always welcome when it gets here. I just hope the title of the current storyline, "Betty R.I.P.", is a misdirect. You can lose Moose and Midge and even Jughead, but without the Big 3 it ain't Archie!

The Silver Age Trivia Panel at C2E2 on Sunday, April 26th was a real barn-burner! It was so close that, for the first time ever, the Fan team (l-r back row: Jason Fliegel, Doug Tonks, Mike Chary and far right Mike Sangiacomo) was in THE LEAD at the e
I confess that I wasn’t looking forward to writing this particular column. The first 8 months of 1994 were a continuation of the “Dark Jaaska” era I detested—and described in detail for the 1993 column. I’m not sure how many ways I can say I loathe
I’ve been in the process of preparing a “comic book starter kit” for my little nephews and it occurred to me that I’d like to include a good Captain Marvel story as part of the package. While having, overall, very good memories of “The Power of Shaz
I'm thinking about writing a column for early May that would be checklist of the better Ultron stories. But whether I do or not, I'm curious which Ultron stories the Legionnaires favor. Age of Ultron? The new Rage of Ultron OGN? The West Coast Avenge
I’ve come to the realization that I collect music the same way I collect comic books. I have a completist streak in me. If I become a fan of a band or an artist, then I usually try to collect their entire catalog. I have a bit of th
