THE XENOMORPHS CONQUER ALL IN ALIEN: KING KILLER!
ALIEN: KING KILLER by Saladin Ahmed and Carlos Nieto, the latest ALIEN epic from Marvel Comics, hits stands in April.
When humanity has already lost the war against the Xenomorphs, what remains? Set on a planet overrun by the savage alien species, the dregs of humanity cling to the protection of the mysterious siblings known as the Three Kings. But these warlords have a fourth sibling who is out for revenge– and the humans’ remaining protectors are harboring secrets deadlier than the aliens outside their gates.
"I'm old enough to remember Aliens landing at the theaters after having watched Alien on Betamax, so I've been ready to tell stories in this universe for a good long while now,” Ahmed shared. “KING KILLER is more of an action story than pure horror, but it is centrally about the most fascinating question in the franchise: What makes a monster? I'm super excited for readers to join us for this weird, pulse pounding Alien story!"

ETERNALS 50TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATES FIFTY YEARS OF JACK KIRBY'S COSMIC VISION
This April, Marvel Comics proudly honors the Eternals’ epic legacy in ETERNALS 50TH ANNIVERSARY #1, a special one-shot by Ralph Macchio, Ethan S. Parker & Griffin Sheridan, Fall Out Boy’s Patrick Stump, Deal Eaglesham, Phil Noto, and Michael Cho.
Discover untold stories of Earth’s immortal protectors, explore their hidden history and witness the debut of a brand-new Eternal—whose secrets could shake the foundations of the Marvel Universe! ETERNALS 50TH ANNIVERSARY #1 will feature three incredible tales from veteran comic creators, rising talent, and Grammy award-nominated musician Patrick Stump, Marvel’s Spidey and his Amazing Friends songwriter/composer and lead singer of the multiplatinum-selling rock band Fall Out Boy!
First, Ikaris and Captain America team up for a sweeping adventure that examines the Eternals’ place in super hero history in a tale by Ethan S. Parker, Griffin Sheridan, Dale Eaglesham and Phil Noto. Then, discover the dark roots of the Eternals fiercest fighter, the deviant Ransak the Reject, in a story by Ralph Macchio and Michael Cho. And don’t miss the startling introduction of THE LOST ETERNAL! Why has his existence been hidden for centuries? And what has caused him to come on line now? Learn these answers and more in a revelatory story written by Patrick Stump.
On what made him excited to contribute to the issue, Stump shared, “It’s fitting that Marvel’s version of God, its One-Above-All, was drawn in the likeness of Jack Kirby; Through his cosmic work on titles like Tales of Suspense, Fantastic Four, Thor, and climaxing with his mythologically inspired space opera The Eternals, he created the center of gravity all of Marvel’s galaxy is still orbiting. So when I was tasked with the responsibility of introducing a Lost Eternal, I turned to the same sci-fi and mythology that got his mighty imagination spinning to begin with. I’m beyond honored to be part of celebrating 50 years of the Eternals, and while I can’t imagine some rock singer like me doing a titan like Kirby justice, I can promise you this has definitely been as much of a passion project as any album I’ve ever made or film I’ve scored.”
“Jack Kirby was a big influence of mine, and I devoured just about everything he did when I first discovered comics,” Editor Mark Paniccia shared. “The Eternals was one of my favorite Kirby creations…wild, dynamic, powerful stuff that fueled my imagination as a young reader. It’s a real privilege to work on this project with such a talented crew.”

Vampirella's New "Season" Debuts This April!
Jumping-On Point With Historic #700 a Year Away
January 23, Mt. Laurel, NJ: Vampirella invites fans to bite into her next "season" of scintillating stories this coming April from industry icon Christopher Priest (Justice League, Superman Lost) and artist Davis Goetten. This next chapter in the ongoing epic going on over half a decade starts in Vampirella #1, intended as a convenient jumping-on point for new and returning readers.
The Daughter of Drakulon isn't the only such fearsome blood-sucker from the planet and family legacy. Her sister Draculina has recently lost her Vampiri powers, as well as the baby she wrested away from Vampirella. Now shackled with humanity, her already fragile psyche risks shattering when her thirst for blood unexpectedly creeps back. Confronted with the prospect of once again being consumed by the evil appetites that had controlled her for centuries, she sets out on a desperate quest to break the patterns of her past and find new answers — or die trying! And how does Vampirella herself factor into these next chapters?
Christopher Priest continues his critically acclaimed and signature approach to the franchise known as the longest running vampire comic book. Priest stands as the creator with the longest continuous un with Vampirella, cresting over 90 issues going back to 2019 with the franchise. The character also marches onwards to a historic issue #700. With the legacy numbering, this new Vampirella #1 also functions as #688. The major milestone is just about a year away! Dynamite can't wait to celebrate that event with fans who have been with the character over five decades, or are getting to know her in this very issue.
This new debut issue features ravishingly riveting variants from superstars Lucio Parrillo, Derrick Chew, Joseph Michael Linsner, Elias Chatzoudis, as well as a cosplay cover from model Rachel Hollon.
Additionally, collectors can check out some exciting premium mystery blind bags for the issue. These bags contain three limited edition variants of the issue, selected randomly from a large range exclusive to it.
VAMPIRELLA ARCHIVES PAPERBACKS BRING FABULOUS
Fifth Volume Continuing Series in Affordable Format!
This fabulous fifth volume includes issues #29-35 of the Vampirella magazine originally released by Warren Publishing. These stories were originally released from 1973 to 1974.
With four volumes in tow behind it, fans can pick and choose the eras that appeal to them or buy the line in any order thanks to its anthology stylings, or go for the full set with a new entry scheduled for every two months. The fourth volume right before this new one included the key origin retelling from the 1972 annual, one of the most essential Vampi stories, as well as contributions from Bronze Age greats like Steve Englehart, Doug Moench, Steve Skeates, and powerhouse artists Jose Gonzalez, Esteban Maroto, and more.
There are several highlights in this fifth volume! First and foremost, every included issue features a Vampirella tale, amounting to a fifth of the total page count. A new run on the character by Flaxman Loew largely starts here, encompassing issues #28-36, 38-42, 51. He's joined on all his stories here by definitive Vampirella artist of the era Jose Gonzalez — except the final one drawn by Jose Ortiz.
Vampirella #30 is one of the biggest key issues in the run, with the introductory first appearance of Pantha. The feline frenemy of the Daughter of Drakulon was created by Steve Skeates and Rafael Auraleon. She stars in four stories of her own in this book, with further solo stories in issues #42, 44, 90, 93-99, 101-104, 106, 108, as well as several iconic crossovers with Vampirella and other features of the magazine. Though not historically as prominent, the Ramon Torrents character Fleur also first appears here, with two stories, one later in #68, and part of the big crossover issue alongside Pantha and Vampi in #50.
Another major draw for this stretch of stories is the highest concentration in the series by Jeffrey Catherine Jones. Issues #32-34 all feature her contributions. On one she is joined by Bernie Wrightson, a compatriot of the legendary The Studio collective they were in alongside Barry Windsor-Smith and Michael Wm. Kaluta. Other contributions of hers can be found in issues #4, 5, 9, 12, and 50.
Beyond these three exciting angles, fans can also enjoy writing and artwork from creators including Doug Moench, Richard Corben, Steve Skeates, Esteban Maroto, Fernando Fernandez, and others.
As a sneak peek at the next volume, fans can expect the three Vampi stories drawn by Leopold Sanchez, Esteban Maroto's visions of Dracula, and an unexpected return for Archie Goodwin.
THUNDERCATS X SILVERHAWKS STARTS SOON!
Universes Unite for the First Time - Story & Creative Breakdown!
January 23, Mt. Laurel, NJ: The story everyone has been waiting for is finally here! Dynamite Entertainment and Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products are excited to announce a historic comics crossover event 40 years in the making. ThunderCats X SilverHawks kicks off this April with a trio of interconnected comic book titles telling a thrilling 15-part epic story from top creators as the pinnacle of over two years of revitalized storytelling.
Civilizations collide in the crossover of the millennium, as writers Declan Shalvey and Ed Brisson pick up the pieces and ramp up threads from nearly 60 issues of new tales across the ThunderCats and SilverHawks mythos, cresting to a can't-miss climactic crossover for dedicated diehards, and an approachable starting-point thrill ride for those intrigued by this blockbuster.
Critically acclaimed author and illustrator Declan Shalvey kicked off this whole era with the records-setting ThunderCats #1, and here he continues his signature contributions to the saga by not only writing, but also drawing the first issue of the flagship series starting in ThunderCats X SilverHawks #1. This follows the conclusion of the milestone ThunderCats #25 and the setup special ThunderCats X SilverHawks: Road to War. Extra-sized with 30 story pages, the kickoff chapter starts it all with a bang.
Panthro of the ThunderCats' mission to launch a new satellite high above his adoptive home of Third Earth resulted in an unexpected turn of events that will change the destiny of two entire galaxies. Alerted to an anomaly at a long-dormant base in a quarantined sector, The Copper Kid, Quicksilver, and Chromium of the SilverHawks set out to investigate. As soon as they land on the forbidden planet, they're confronted by a fearsome band of strange, cat-like warriors — and quickly find themselves in a fight for their lives!
"I can't believe I'm writing and drawing my own comics crossover event," said Declan Shalvey. "Having soon built up to 25 issues of the main ThunderCats book, I'm very excited about this new stage of Thunder-stories. When our initial ThunderCats series was announced, the first question I was asked was 'What about the SilverHawks!?' so I was delighted when die-hard fan Ed Brisson took them on last year. We always knew these two teams would go head-to-head somehow, artist Drew Moss and I left little teases here and there, but now feels like the right time. That the line of books has taken us to the stage where a crossover feels justified is something I never could have expected when I took on this comic book franchise. Getting to play with a new set of toys, while bashing them against the ones I've already been playing with makes me feel like a kid again. It's also been a while since I've drawn a big bombastic superhero type story, and I'm having a blast doing so."
The second series and part two starts with ThunderCats X SilverHawks: Mumm-Ra the Ever-Living #1. Shalvey also scripts this look at the archnemesis of the entire franchise, alongside artist Rapha Lobosco. Mumm-Ra has been a sinister enigma to the 'Cats ever since they first set their paws on Third Earth, and now the full ancient and tortured history of the infamous devil-priest will be revealed! While interweaving with the ever-evolving 15-part epic, this series dually functions as an essential origin for fans.
Shalvey added, "With so many characters and relationships, the main ThunderCats book juggles a lot. Mumm-Ra looms large in the book, but I've been wanting to dig into the complicated history and relationship between him and the Thunderans. With this series, I have such an opportunity and a large theater to tell a more epic story. I'm delighted to have Rapha Lobosco tell this tale with me after having done exceptional work with Ed on ThunderCats Lost. I can rest easy knowing he will deliver on how big this story should feel."
Following his fan-favorite chronicles of the SilverHawks, the ThunderCats Lost team, and a string of scintillating specials, writer Ed Brisson writes the third title involved in the crossover, joined by artist Vincenzo Federici. ThunderCats X SilverHawks: ThunderHawks #1 follows events from ThunderCats: Lost in Time and the Road to War special, starting with the Lost team trapped in the far future desperately trying to get back home and prevent the cataclysmic war that could end all of 'Cat-kind. They'll find themselves donning SilverHawks bionic suits and fighting in this unknown, hostile space and time.
"Since first starting on ThunderCats Lost and SilverHawks, the question I've most been asked is 'When are they going to meet!?.' It's been killing me to keep these plans under wraps for more than a year. I'm proud of the work we've put in building up to this event and I think readers are going to be both excited and shocked to see where we're taking it. I'm also relieved that I can finally answer the question. April, dear reader. They're going to meet in April!"
Each month from April through August 2026 will feature a new chapter from all three titles, continuing to build and complement each other to form the ultimate ThunderCats and SilverHawks legend and celebration of these fabled franchises. Fans are encouraged to be there from the jump, preorder and follow each chapter, and share their thoughts with Dynamite and the wider fandom!

Featuring Artistic Superstars Across Three Titles!
Alongside Ed Brisson, Irish icon Declan Shalvey is writing this historic crossover. Fans who have been longtime fans of his, and even those continuing here from his preceding prolific run on the flagship ThunderCats series know Declan is also an artistic powerhouse. His three covers across ThunderCats X SilverHawks #1, Mumm-Ra the Ever-Living #1, and ThunderCats X SilverHawks: ThunderHawks were shown in the initial announcement for this event. One additional way his art is being showcased is a sweet incentive cover featuring his layouts for his story. This is a novel collectible for fans of the behind the scenes process of comics creation, and an exclusive look at this side of storytelling.
On other covers, Shalvey is joined by familiar favorites from the ongoing ThunderCats and SilverHawks comics era, as well as shining stars making their first contributions to the comic book franchise.
ThunderCats X SilverHawks #1 also features covers by Lucio Parrillo, Eric Canete, and Ben Oliver.
To portray the powerful archnemesis for Mumm-Ra the Ever-Living #1, artists Rapha Lobosco, Danny Earls, John Amor, and Erica D'Urso join the 'Cats crew.
Meanwhile to add to the fun of perhaps the most enigmatic of the three titles, Vincenzo Federici, Ivan Tao, Marco Failla, and Alessandro Ranaldi craft covers for ThunderCats X SilverHawks: ThunderHawks #1.
In addition to all these juggernauts of comics, each issue also offers a fun animation cover, capturing the nostalgic memory of the original beloved show. Mumm-Ra #1 also adds an illustrated piece from the Warner Bros. Discovery vault.
The iconic voice of Lion-O himself, Larry Kenney, will also be signing ultra-limited covers available on each series.

FRANKLIN JONAS & CURT PIRES EXPAND THE WORLD OF LOST FANTASY WITH NEW ONGOING SERIES FIREBORN LAUNCHING THIS APRIL
Fireborn follows Aaron Hillburg who is just another rich-kid failson ghosting his responsibilities, hopping rooftops, and hating his billionaire father in peace… until a mysterious floating dragon egg bonds to him and ignites a hidden lineage of ancient magic inside his body.
Now every violent outlaw wizard, biker cultist, and supernatural warlord between New York City and The World Beneath is hunting him—and they’ll burn the world down to pry the egg from his corpse.
“Comic books will always be one of my deepest passions. Before I even touched music, my first dream job was to be a comic book writer,” said Jonas. “As a young kid discovering Stories like Fraction and Aja's Hawkeye or Hickman and Pitarra's The Manhattan Projects taught me what is possible with storytelling in a sequential art format. Last year after finally talking in depth about my love for comics online I discovered Lost Fantasy and fell in love. There is nothing I love more than a book that creates an immersive world that creates its own distinct aesthetic and believes itself. When Curt asked if I wanted to collaborate on Fireborn and the preview backups in Lost Fantasy there was no hesitation. Curt has been an amazing friend to collaborate with, showing me the ropes and helping me understand the backstage of the industry while we manifest our wild ideas brought to life by Patrick in such beautifully vivid ways.”
Fireborn promises readers a high octane fusion of fantasy and superheroes perfect for fans of Invincible, How To Train Your Dragon, and Absolute Batman.
Pires added: “Lost Fantasy has been one of the most special and gratifying projects for me to work on of my entire career. Not just because I love the world and creative work I'm doing on this book alongside my co-creators Luca, Mark, and Micah but because it's put me in touch with so many amazing readers, retailers, and new friends. I count Franklin among those friends. Within minutes of meeting Franklin and talking with him—I could feel the same deep love for comics that I have, exists inside of him too, and I knew I needed to find a way to bring him into the fold.
“The result is Fireborn: a high octane fantasy superhero fusion that alchemizes all the things Franklin and I love about the comic book medium into a rollercoaster new ongoing series that spins directly out of Lost Fantasy #9—which will release the same day as Fireborn #1, and be co-written by Franklin.
“I'm so grateful for the continued support for everything Lost Fantasy by our amazing readers and retailers. Fireborn is just step one in growing this amazing universe. We remain committed to producing one of the best comics on the shelves and creating exciting new stories and worlds that bring people to our favorite places: local comic shops.”

DC ANNOUNCES SWAMP THING 1989
Rick Veitch’s Long-Lost Finale Begins April 29, 2026
Written by Rick Veitch, with art by original penciler Michael Zulli and inked by Vince Locke, Swamp Thing 1989 #1 completes the comic Veitch and Zulli intended to deliver as Swamp Thing #88. In this issue, Swamp Thing is cast back through time and encounters a humble carpenter whose presence will alter the creature’s destiny and send ripples through the DC Universe. The issue also sets the stage for the long-anticipated origin of Etrigan the Demon and catapults Swamp Thing on his mythic journey back to the Big Bang and beyond.
The main cover by Rick Veitch reflects the quiet tension and symbolic weight of the story’s historical setting. Variant and foil covers by Michael Zulli present painterly imagery of Swamp Thing that captures the emotional and mythic intensity surrounding this pivotal moment in Swamp Thing’s saga.
One of the most talked-about moments of New York Comic Con 2025 was DC’s confirmation that it would finally publish Veitch’s then-controversial storyline, originally pulled before publication. Now presented with its original trade dress, period-accurate numbering on the cover, facsimile-style paper stock, and vintage ads, Swamp Thing 1989 #1 begins the journey to Veitch’s final Swamp Thing saga, running as it would have been published in 1989.
A Restoration Decades in the Making
When Alan Moore concluded his landmark run on Swamp Thing, he personally selected Rick Veitch to continue the series. Veitch’s work quickly earned its own acclaim. In 1989, the original plans for Swamp Thing #88 were halted during production. Veitch left the title, and the unpublished issue marked the abrupt end of Veitch’s three-year saga.
More than three decades later, DC Black Label is completing the work exactly as it was intended. The long-lost Swamp Thing #88, now called Swamp Thing 1989 #1, features art by the late Michael Zulli, who returned to work on the issue before his passing in 2024, completing the painting featured here as the variant cover. Working closely with Zulli’s wife, Karen Zulli, DC selected Vince Locke, Zulli’s longtime inker, to complete the issue over his original pencils while preserving the integrity of Zulli’s original vision.
Veteran Swamp Thing series artist Tom Mandrake will illustrate the brand-new Swamp Thing 1989 #2-4, which would have been Swamp Thing #89–91, bringing Veitch’s never-published storyline to its intended conclusion. For Swamp Thing 1989 #2-4, colorist Trish Mulvihill honors the palette and spirit of legendary series colorist Tatjana Wood while letterer Todd Klein brings the same reverence to the work of original Swamp Thing series letterer John Costanza.
Responding to years of fan campaigns urging DC to publish this lost issue and allow Veitch to complete his run, “the response from readers was immediate and overwhelming,” said Veitch. “It helped make the final decision to publish these issues. I am grateful to the fans for stepping up, and to DC’s team, especially editor Alex Galer and Editor-in-Chief Marie Javins, for pulling off the impossible.”
“This is a historic moment for fans of Swamp Thing and of DC’s legacy,” said Chris Conroy, Executive Editor, DC. “The restoration of this material honors the spirit of the original creative team and allows readers to experience a defining chapter exactly where it always belonged. You will be able to put these into your long boxes as if this run had never ended.”
Swamp Thing 1989 #1 is a 32-page comic book priced at $4.99 US, with a card-stock variant available for $5.99 US and a foil variant for $7.99 US. The new series was first revealed at New York Comic Con 2025 and begins in April 2026 to deliver one of the most anticipated restorations in modern comics history. Swamp Thing 1989 is published under DC Black Label and carries an Ages 17+ content descriptor for mature readers.
Swamp Thing 1989 #1 arrives in comic book shops, and everywhere comics are sold, on April 29, 2026.

TOP SHELF CHECKS IN AT HOTEL LIMBO FOR A GLIMPSE OF THE AFTERLIFE
In Stores April 14, 2026, Preorder Available Now
“My debut as a published author makes absolutely no sense. I went from coming up with terrible stories while playing with toys as a kid, to writing terrible fan fiction as a teenager, to slowly losing that part of me as I pursued my career as a therapist. I took the "mature," "responsible" path, and I thought I'd closed that other door forever,” says creator Ben Harel. “One day I made an impulsive decision involving a huge financial investment and years of work filled with self-doubt and uncertainty, and here we are. It feels like I hopped into a different timeline. The ideas of anyone buying my book, meeting people who've read it, or even just holding it with my own hands - none of it feels possible. I'm just grateful for the immature, irresponsible kid in me who opened that door.”
After awakening in the middle of nowhere, a young man is forcefully inducted into the Hotel Limbo as its new bellboy (“BB” for short). Faced with magical masks, giant cats, a mysterious staff, and a hotel that just won’t sit still, BB will soon learn that helping with “baggage” means something very different when all the guests are dead.
Hotel Limbo will be available wherever books are sold, as a full-color softcover graphic novel (ISBN: 978-1-60309-587-7) as well as a digital edition, on April 14, 2026, for a list price of $19.99. For more information please visit theTop Shelf web site.
DC ANNOUNCES BIZARRO: YEAR NONE
DC Launches a New Four-Issue Limited Series from Kevin Smith, Eric Carrasco, and Nick Pitarra, Starring the Iconic Backwards Opposite of Superman
In truly terrible news for fans everywhere—which is to say, incredible—DC today announced Bizarro: Year None, a four-issue limited comic book series exploring the origin of Bizarro, Superman’s legendary backwards doppelgänger. From writers Kevin Smith (Green Arrow) and Eric Carrasco (Supergirl), with art and main cover by Nick Pitarra (The Manhattan Projects), Bizarro: Year None delivers the “definitive, indefinitive” origin of DC’s beloved backward bad boy.
“Me am NOT excited for new comic!” said Bizarro. “Bizarro: Year None am worst thing to happen!”
The series follows Superman’s pal Jimmy Olsen and Clark Kent’s boss Perry White as they depart the Daily Planet for a strange adventure in outer space. Their journey leads them to a dimension that mirrors Metropolis in uncanny ways and reveres its legendary newspaper as an article of faith. As they unravel the mystery of this bizarre world, they confront the being behind it all. Is he a misguided Superman fan, an agent of pure chaos, or is he no one at all?
Smith and Carrasco bring a blend of humor, heart, and high-concept storytelling to a character whose contradictions have made him a fan-favorite for decades. Pitarra’s bold, hyper-detailed artwork grounds the series’ surreal tone, giving readers a version of Bizarro’s world that feels both familiar and unsettling.
Bizarro: Year None #1 variant covers by Frank Quitely (L) and Ibrahim Moustafa (R)
Bizarro: Year None #1 goes on sale April 1, 2026, and the series publishes monthly through July, available at participating comic book shops and digital retailers. The debut issue arrives as a 32-page comic priced at $4.99 US, with variant covers by Frank Quitely, Fernando Pasarin, and Ibrahim Moustafa, plus a foil variant by Pitarra. Variant covers will be available for $5.99 US (card stock) and $7.99 US (foil).
Don’t be a square: this is the worst comic you’ll ever love. Kevin Smith, Eric Carrasco, and Nick Pitarra tell the indefinitive origin of Superman’s bestest enemy ever!
