The NFL and NBA would adopt hockey's stance towards college players and the draft: players who were drafted could return to college as long as they didn't sign a pro contract; this would allow underage players to stay in college longer while they develop as athletes

NCAA Football needs a playoff. It's one of the only sports that doesn't have one.

I wouldn't move teams in the NHL (or MLB or NBA for that matter) I would contract them, and put a better product on the field. I also think too many teams currently in the NHL and NBA make the playoffs.
I too would have a playoff in the college football (which is a discussion which wears me out nowadays), but I would eliminate the bowls completely.
Then again I would work to eliminate the NCAA completely. I find it an archaic ineffectual system now. I don't like the "one and done" rule between the NCAA and NBA, and I would definitely get rid of that.
It was true at one point in time, but I don't know if it still is. A college player could enter the NBA draft, and if he went undrafted and never signed with an agent he could return to school, and keep his amateur status.

I find the geographic placement of teams in all pro sports kind of interesting. Since I'm a hockey fan, this is one topic I'm really interested in.
Winnipeg should definitely get its team back. It was a monumental mistake for them to leave in the first place. I actually got to see the first-ever Phoenix Coyotes game live, when I traveled to the Whalers home opener that year. (Yay me!)
Do you think Seattle could support a team with Vancouver so close?
While I doubt there's enough financial support available, I'd love to see teams show up in Alaska and the Maine/Nova Scotia/New Brunswick area.
Are the Islanders really in trouble? I wasn't aware of that. (Or do you just consider them superfluous?) When I was in NYC recently, I was kind of disheartened to see boatloads of Rangers merchandise, very little for the Islanders and exactly one Devils item.

This Islanders are a bad team in terms of play and attendance. They are averaging 10.7k in attendance right now, which is 2k less than they finished with the end of last season. In comparison the Rangers are averaging 18k this year which is right where they were last season.
