I guess they gave up on the movie! Still there will be the difficulty of finding someone who could be Wonder Woman. 10 years ago, I would have picked Catherine Zeta-Jones or maybe Angie Harmon. Now, I don't know!
I agree. I think it was a much bigger issue of finding a movie star to play the role. I think the good thing about a TV show is that they won't need a movie star.

I don't think there's a lack of good looking, talented 20- to 30-something women for Warner Bros. to pick from...
So speaking of good looking, talented 20- to 30-somethings, I just came upon the 2009 made-for-TV Children of the Corn, and have decided that I would LOVE to see Kandyse McClure in the role. She would make a kick-ass Wonder Woman.
(Other off-the-top-of-my-head candidates would be Michelle Ryan or Evangeline Lily...)

The other good thing about a TV show it that TV is a place where stars are born.
Yeah, I think TV is a better place to re-launch Wonder Woman than movies these days. I think, on the whole, that an accumulation of stories, rather than One Big Story, is a better way to handle Diana, who has so many facets to her. A movie would have to ignore a lot, leaving some fans of particular aspects out in the cold. A TV show, for instance, would be better suited to handle both Warrior Princess and Emissary of Peace aspects of her character & mission, since it could devote an episode whichever it chose.
I just as soon see an unknown cast in the role. The one thing (well, one of the many things) that kept jerking me out of the 1989 Batman movie was everytime the Joker appeared on screen I thought, "It's Jack Nicholson."
Yesterday, I saw someone suggest Sarah Lancaster. Fine by me; all she ever gets to do on Chuck is whine about how he never tells her stuff that's none of her business, anyway. I'm told she's a good actress; I wouldn't mind if she had a role where she could demonstrate it.
