Show 1206:  Ator the Fighting Eagle, first broadcast 11/22/2018

The Film:  From 1982, the film used in Show 303: “Cave Dwellers” was actually a sequel to this picture.  More mediocre sword-and-sorcery nonsense with the amiably untalented Miles O’Keefe.

The Host Segments:  Synthia delivers the song to Doctor Erhardt. For the Invention Exchange, Jonah and the Bots present Swiss Army Cheese.  The Mads counter with the Totino’s Pizza Roll Popper. Crow as Griba teaches Jonah the secrets of fighting. Kiog the bear visits the SOL. Max wants Kiog for a pet, but Kinga turns the bear over to Doctor St. Phibes. Kinga berates the audience for wasting their time watching bad movies. Jonah’s plan comes to fruition, as he, the Bots and Doctor St. Phibes escape to Earth on Kinga’s spaceship, the Deep Hurting, while Kinga and Max are trapped in a hidden theater on Moon 13 and forced to watch Mr. B Natural, short from Show 319: “War of the Colossal Beast”.

Overall:  Another OK episode.

"The Revival" Overall:  It was OK, some pretty good episodes.  I liked the cast, I had no problem with them.  I wish they'd had a little more time to "find their feet", as it were. To my mind. the original show didn't start to really get good until the third season.

If I were to say anything negative, it's that the new shows were maybe a touch too "Hollywood" for me. They maybe lacked a little of the old shows' home-made, Midwestern feel.
