  • ...OOOH , OOH , OOOOHH~Mist- uh , Saint Peter !!!!!!!!!!! :-)

  • Yeah Travolta and Lawrence Hilton-Jacobs must be sweating....bullets right now. I was gonna say bullets.

  • I was surprised that Ron Palillo (63) was older than Robert Hegyes (60).

  • ...The San Jose Mercury News put Palillo's death on the top line of the front page , above their logo...Did they think that that would help them get the younger...-ish , anyway , crowd to buy a paper ?

I rather thought that " the Merc " , as all " the digerati " call it...:-)... , or so I am told...was in better health than pretty much all Northern California daily newspapers , and pretty much most dailies in the U.S. period , due to its Silicon Valley home...

  • ...Bluntly , though I suppose he continued working some (And , IIRC , was in the obit said to have , for the last several years , been an acting teacher at some academy/class/community and living there .) , he would seem to be , at least on a surface level , a textbook example of someone who , after playing a rather gimmicky/one-dimensional part - Of a TV teenager , when it would appear he'dve been about 25/6 when he was cast for it !!!!!!!!! - who found himself rather typecast/" HIM ????????? " when the show was finished...Heyges , IIRC , later had another ongoing series role , anyhow , on Cagney And Lacey in its last couple of seasons...

      Bitchy , huh ??????????? Or realistic ???...

  • Heed my warning: in 2012, the four sweathogs of the apocalypse will ride!

  • ...And " The Flower Children " will rise up:-0 ?...

  • ...In one of the obits for Pallilo it came out ( Unavoidable pun . ) that a male partner ,who he'd been with since before KOTTER , survived him .

Speaking of " before KOTTER " , it would appear that he was about 25 or so before he was even CAST for the show !!!!!!!!!!!-

      TV teenagers , I know...And , they were supposta be perpetually left back goof-offs and semi-JDs , so...But...........

  • Back in my professional theatre days, I remember mroe than once seeing over 30 actors cast as teens.  It has much more to do with looks and energy than it does actual age.

By the time Kotter came on the tube, I was already in and out of a two year hitch in the Navy, and those "high school students", EACH AND EVERY ONE, looked older than me, and I was at least twenty one. They looked WAY too old for high school. Because, of course, they were!
