Ten years ago today ...

Posted on February 20, 2011 at 7:56pm 19 Comments

On this day 10 years ago, I was in an accident that totaled my car. I am grateful today for three things:

That I was in the car by myself; I doubt a passenger would have survived.

That I walked away from it whole; save for some pain in my side that lasted about a week, I was and remain physically sound.

That God saw fit to spare me, that I may carry on in this world and be the husband, father and person He wants me to be.

President Luthor (from the old board)

Bugs Bunny, the greatest baseball player ever

Posted on August 18, 2009 at 2:49pm 3 Comments

I just ran across this sportswriter's analysis of "Baseball Bugs," the classic Looney Tunes short in which Bugs Bunny takes on the Gas House Gorillas all by himself -- starting in the fourth inning of a game in which the Gorillas are leading the Tea Totallers 54-0 -- and wins 96-95. It's funny because it's so, so serious ... "Bugs Bunny, Greatest Banned Player Ever"

Happy Birthday, Captain Comics!

Although it was yesterday Photobucket , I wish to offer a happy happy joy joy, to our fearless leader, Captain Comics!

I also put this on the old site because I don't know how to do the parade of smilies over here.

Three cheers!…

The church is Wesley-Knox United Church in London, Ontario. They drew a sizable crowd to Chaney's Phantom

I have some links below. You'd have to contact them for further information:
