Possible Superman referrences in the classic movie "An Affair to Remember"?

I was watching the classic tear jerker "An Affair to Remember" with my wife during the recent Holiday Season!  The one with Cary Grant and Deborah Kerr.  Anyway I noticed at least two Superman referrences in this movie!  One of the side characters is named "Lois Clark."  Later there is a mention of a "Miss Lane." I looked this up but could find nothing on it.  Is this just a fluke or was it done on purpose?  Thanks JoeSee More
