The Lone Ranger (Dynamite)

I have been in a "Lone Ranger" mood for a while now and have been meaning to read the Dynamite series for some time. John Cassaday provided the cover art, and with his recent passing, this seems like the perfect opportunity to pay him tribute by spot

Captain America (Cassaday)

Recently I had been reading the Captain America by Mark Gruenwald omnibus specifically to determine why that run didn't appeal to me. Once I found that answer, I lost all interest in the project a dozen or so issues shy of the end of the volume. Wher

Justice Warriors

This series just didn't click with me the first time I read it (or started to). After an issue or two I decided to set it aside to read sometime when I'm more in the mood, now that I had a better idea of what it was like. Then last week, The Justice

The Legend of Grimjack

Grimjack remains one of my favorite characters/series despite the fact he hasn't had a regular series since 1991 or a new adventure since 2010. I think more about his entire life has been revealed than has about most other comic book characters who h

Mapping Out the Multiverse

I've lost count of how many times [DC has] re-discovered the multiverse. Well, first it was 52 parallel universes. Then they discovered those were just the "local" multiverse.

Last week while I was reading a DC comic book from 2006, I came across DC

The Absolute/All In thread

It begins.

Next month, DC Comics will split in two. When "Absolute Power" comes to an end -- and we have a thread on that HERE -- something happens that creates, for lack of a better term, a new Earth-2. This new parallel universe will be published i
