On an urgent case ...

Thanks, friends! We had a lovely time at an all-inclusive resort at Playa del Carmen, in the province of Quintana Roo, Mexico. It's on the east coast, about an hour's drive southwest of the Cancun International Airport. The experience was like being on a cruise but on land. Plus, it was one of a chain of properties so we could visit the others and peruse their amenities and dine at their restaurants. And we did an excursion to see pyramids at two neighboring sites, which was edifying.

No issues at at until the day after we returned to the States, when I experienced aggressive diarrhea ... which continues. They say don't drink the water, and I didn't, but -- in the name of protecting the environment at those archaelogial ruins, single-use plastic water bottles are not allowed on the grounds. Our tour guide gave each of us refillable 1 quart bottles with a nifty shoulder strap ... and in hindsight, I don't know anything about how they were filled. But, as one of my doctors tells me, you can't drive yourself crazy thinking "If I hadn't eaten/drank this one thing, I wouldn't have an issue."

I am still very happy with the experience overall, and to share it with my lovely bride, and looking forward to many more years in the future.
